TECHNOCOM ACQUIRED BY VISUAL EDGE TECHNOLOGY

Visual Edge Technology, Inc. has acquired Technocom of North Carolina in a move that expands Visual Edge’s footprint in the Southeast.

The company’s founder and president, Jim Riggins will continue leading the company under the executive guidance of Visual Edge.

“Visual Edge has a very strong technology team, and I am excited about them taking us to the next level, especially in the managed network services side of our business,” says Riggins.

“There’s a great advantage to partnering with such a large company,” says Riggins. “Better value for our customers, greater job opportunities; that kind of leverage will only enhance the success we have already had.”

“Jim has always placed his customers and employees first, and with a business climate that is continually evolving,” added Michael Cozzens, vice president of business development for Visual Edge Technology, “it just made sense to join the Visual Edge strategy of building a regional and national network of top-notch solutions and support providers.”

This past January, Technocom made two acquisitions of its own, expanding into the Salisbury (Marathon Business Center, Inc.) and Statesville (Document Imaging Solutions) regions of North Carolina, working with former owners Ken Crooms and Bruce Cook respectively.

Together with Visual Edge, Technocom will look to deliver the same outstanding service and support it has since its inception, while expanding upon its existing managed IT services.
